COMMISSION A PORTRAIT

A custom portrait is a powerful way to preserve memories, capture emotions, and celebrate the people, pets or moments that matter most to you. My goal is to work closely with you to create a piece that resonates deeply, turning a simple photograph into an artwork that will last a lifetime.

The Commission Journey

1. Initial Consultation

Every commission begins with a conversation where we'll discuss:

• Your vision and what you want to capture
• The subject(s) to be portrayed
• Size and format options
• Style and mood preferences
• Timeline expectations

This consultation can take place via email, phone, or video call, depending on your preference.

2. Reference Materials

For the most successful outcome, I'll need high-quality reference materials:

• The image that you want me to capture.
• Preferably other photos of the subject from different angles
• Any specific details you want emphasized

If you need assistance choosing the right photo, I can offer advice on what will translate best into artwork.

3. Proposal and Agreement

Based on our consultation, I'll provide a detailed proposal including:

• Concept approach or preliminary sketch
• Dimensions and medium specifications
• Timeline for completion
• Pricing and payment schedule

Once you approve the proposal, a 50% non-refundable deposit secures your commission and covers initial planning and materials.

4. Creation Process

The artistic process typically follows these stages:

• Preliminary sketches and composition studies
• Initial rendering of the portrait
• Progress updates at key stages so you can see the artwork come to life
• Refinement based on your feedback
• Final detailing and finishing touches

For most portraits, this process takes 2-3 weeks, though timeline can vary based on complexity.

5. Delivery and Presentation

When the portrait is complete:

• You'll receive final images for approval
• Upon approval, the remaining 50% balance is due
• The artwork is professionally packaged for safe delivery
• Shipping or local pickup is arranged (shipping costs included)
• Care instructions are provided

Each portrait is delivered unframed with a certificate of authenticity. Please note that any import taxes or customs duties are the responsibility of the customer.

Prices

Pricing for commissions starts at 250€ and varies based on size, complexity, and medium. Multiple subjects, complex backgrounds, or larger formats will affect pricing. All prices are in Euros.
